Prof. De Ly and Mr. van Hezewijk interpret the text of the New York Convention (NYC) as applicable also to a-national awards. I agree with them that the NYC can be construed in this manner. However, the text and context as well as the travaux préparatoires, as explained in the Triptych, lead me to the conclusion that the NYC is inapplicable to this type of awards.
